Wadowice – John Paul II birth place
Wadowice is a small town in southern Poland, around 50km from Krakow, so it takes no longer than 1 hour to get there from Krakow city centre. Wadowice was the birthplace of Pope John Paul II (1920).
In the morning our driver will pick You up from Your Hotel to take You straight for a trip to the Wadowice – it is small but very beautiful town where John Paul II was born and lived – You will visit His family house turned now in to a museum, basilica of Virgin Mary's - where Karol Wojtyla was baptisted and Carmelite Monastery, then You can take a rest in Wadowice market square, tried Pope's cream-cakes. After all our driver will take straight to Krakow – or on the way You can visit also the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska which is is regarded as the most popular shrine in Poland founded in the year 1600. After all when Your tour will be completed our driver will take You back to Your accommodation in Krakow or drop You off where You wish in the City.
